Lesson 14  let’s sing a new song!

一 .Teaching Objectives and Demands:

1.Student can understand read say and practice the dialogue.

2.Student can understand and sing the song “Rainy Day”.

        3.Student can understand read say and use the following phrases: bus driver, bus stop and school bus.

二.The Importance and The Difficult point:

1.The important:Practice the dialogue.

2.The difficult point:The same with above..

三.Teaching Aids:

1.some pictures

2.some vocabulary cards

3.audiotape and the tape recorder

四.Allocation of time: one course

五.Teaching steps:

  Step 1.Organizing the teaching

1.Greetings

2.Sing an English song.

Step 2. Revision:

1.Play “Draw and Guess” to review modes of transportation the Ss mastered.These include: airplane, bicycle, bus, cab,car,train and truck.

2.Play “Charades” to review occupations the Ss have mastered in previous levels: teacher, cashier, waitress(waiter) and clerk.

3.Give commands to review adverbs: quickly, slowly, loudly and softly.

  Step 3.Key concepts:

1.     Introduce:

The Ss should easily master the key concepts.Can they find the bus driver, bus stop and school bus.

2.Student book:

a. Play the audiotape of No.1 in the student book as an introduction to sing “ The Rainny song ” in No.2.

3.Practice:

Teach the song of No.2 in the student book..

         六.Students’ activity:

1.Sing an English song.

2.Play “Draw and Guess” to review.

3. Play “Charades”.

3.Listen and do.

4.Imitate with a question and answer dill.

  5.Let’s sing a song.
